Pig House Ventilation and Climate Control
Pigs grow best in a narrow band of temperature and air quality, whether the farm faces a cold winter or a tropical summer. We design ventilation, cooling and heating as one system — fans, inlets, pads, heaters and the controller that runs them — for the climate of your site.

Exhaust Fans for Pig Houses
Fans that pull air out of the house so fresh air enters through the inlets, sized at working pressure.

Air Inlets & Air Deflectors
Inlets that open just enough to send fresh air where pigs need it, driven by the climate controller.

Evaporative Cooling Pads
Wet pads at the air entry that cool incoming air by evaporation during hot weather.

Pig House Heaters
Heat for cold weather and young pigs, from space heaters in the house or a central heating system.

Climate Controllers & Sensors
The controller that reads temperature and humidity and runs fans, inlets, cooling and heating, with alarms.

Central Ventilation & Heat Recovery
Ventilation that recovers heat from exhaust air, by air exchangers or water loops, to cut heating cost.

Inlet Air Filtration
Filters on the air inlets of high-biosecurity houses, with sealed frames and a maintenance routine.
Scope of supply
Scope of supply: ventilation & climate
| Usually in the package | Agreed in each contract |
|---|---|
| Fans, air inlets, cooling pads and heaters | Air-tightness of the building |
| Climate controller and sensors | Heat source and power supply |
| Air filtration units where ordered | Standby power and alarm call-out |
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How many fans does a pig house need?
Fan count follows the airflow the pigs need in the hottest weather, at the static pressure of your house. We calculate it from the house size, pig weight and local climate.
Do cooling pads work in humid climates?
Evaporative cooling works better when the air is dry. In humid regions it is still useful, but airflow and pad area need to be planned with the local humidity in mind.
What happens if the power fails?
Controllers include alarms, and the farm needs a backup power plan for ventilation. We plan the alarm and standby supply together with the power system.
