Farrowing Crates and Piglet Care Equipment
The farrowing room has two very different animals in one pen: a sow that needs room to lie down safely and piglets that need warmth and early feed. We equip the whole room — crates or free-farrowing pens, floors, local heating and piglet feeding — so every part fits the next.

Farrowing Crates
One pen for the sow and her litter: restraint for the sow, a warm creep area for piglets, floors and feed points.

Free-Farrowing Pens
More room for the sow, a protected zone for piglets and, if wanted, a temporary restraint around farrowing.

Piglet Heat Boxes & Covers
A warm, draught-free corner for piglets — as an open cover over the creep area or an enclosed box.

Piglet Heat Mats & Lamps
Local heat under or over piglets: electric mats, hot-water plates or lamps, with control and protection.

Piglet Creep Feeders
Shallow pans and small troughs for piglets' first solid feed, fixed to the slatted floor.

Piglet Milk Feeding Systems
Extra milk or liquid pre-starter for large litters, delivered through cups or small troughs from a preparation unit.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Farrowing crate or free-farrowing pen?
Crates give the most control over the sow; free-farrowing pens give her more room and can include a temporary restraint. The choice depends on welfare rules, staff routines and the space per pen.
Can you supply the whole farrowing room?
Yes. Crates, floors, heat boxes or mats, feeders and drinkers can be ordered as one package for each room.
Which heat source suits piglets best?
Electric mats, hot-water plates and lamps all work; the choice follows your energy supply, running cost and how the room is cleaned.
