Nursery and Finishing Pens, Partitions and Slatted Floors

After weaning, pigs spend most of their life in groups on slatted floors. Pen layout, partition material and the type of slat decide how clean and dry the pens stay and how fast a room can be turned around. We match pens, partitions, floors and beams to each stage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which slatted floor should I choose?

Plastic slats are common where piglets lie; cast iron is used where sows stand; concrete is common in finishing and gestation areas. Many houses combine them by stage.

Are PVC partitions strong enough for finishing pigs?

Partition thickness, posts and fixings are chosen for the pig size. Tell us the stage and group size and we propose a matching combination.

Can floors and pens be ordered separately?

Yes. You can order pens only, floors only or both; we check that slats, beams and pen posts fit together.
