Pig Farm Planning and Pig House Construction

Every system in a pig farm hangs on the building and the site plan: where clean and dirty traffic meet, how wide a house is, where the feed line enters and the manure leaves. We plan the layout and the houses together with the pens, feeding, ventilation and manure systems that will go into them.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you plan a farm before the land is finally chosen?

Yes. Early planning helps to compare sites: send the candidate plots, the herd size you aim for and the production model, and we show how each site would be laid out.

Who does the foundations and civil works?

This is agreed in each contract. We provide the drawings and the interface details for foundations, pits and embedded parts; local civil works are usually done by a local contractor.

Can an existing farm be upgraded instead of rebuilt?

Often it can. We survey the houses, pits, water, power and controls, and plan the upgrade room by room so that production can continue in the rest of the farm.
