About climate controllers & sensors
A climate controller reads sensors and runs the fans, inlets, cooling and heating to hold the setpoint, raising an alarm when something fails. Inputs and outputs, control logic, sensor positions and what happens when power or network drop out are agreed before the controller is configured.
Common configurations
Stand-alone controllers
One controller per room or house.
Central control cabinets
One cabinet for several rooms.
Sensors and communication
Different sensors and networks.
Selection checklist
Before we send a layout or quotation, we confirm these points with you.
| Point to confirm | Why we ask |
|---|---|
| Inputs and outputs | Number of sensors and devices. |
| Control logic | How each stage is run. |
| Alarms and emergency | Who is called, and how. |
| Sensor position and calibration | Correct readings. |
| Power or network failure | Safe default settings. |
| Remote access | Monitoring from outside the farm. |
Dimensions, materials and quantities are confirmed for each project.
Scope of supply
| Usually in the package | Agreed in each contract |
|---|---|
| Fans, air inlets, cooling pads and heaters | Air-tightness of the building |
| Climate controller and sensors | Heat source and power supply |
| Air filtration units where ordered | Standby power and alarm call-out |
