About exhaust fans for pig houses

Exhaust fans create the slight negative pressure that pulls fresh air in through the inlets. A fan’s real airflow depends on the static pressure of your house, not on the size of its blades, so fans are chosen from performance data together with inlets, the air-tightness of the house and the controller.

Common configurations

Axial exhaust fans

Wall or chimney fans.

Housings and drives

Belt or direct drive, different housings.

Shutters

Close when the fan stops.
