About pig house heaters
In cold climates and for young pigs, houses need heat as well as ventilation. Heaters can burn fuel inside the house, use a heat exchanger, or come from a central boiler. The heat source, exhaust and safety, and how the heater works with the ventilation are checked for your site.
Common configurations
Electric or fuel heat
Depending on your energy supply.
Direct or indirect
Combustion in the house or through a heat exchanger.
Local or central
Space heaters or a central system.
