About pig farm wastewater treatment
Treatment of pig farm wastewater is designed from a test of the incoming water and the target at the end — reuse on land or discharge. Typical steps are equalisation, biological treatment and, where needed, further polishing. Performance has to be checked under real conditions, and sludge and responsibilities are planned from the start.
Common configurations
Reuse
Treated liquid used on land.
Biological treatment
The core treatment step.
Polishing
Further treatment where required.
