About biogas digesters
An anaerobic digester turns suitable slurry into biogas. The project covers more than the tank: gas cleaning and safety, using the gas for heat and power or other purposes, and handling the digestate. Stable feedstock, operating skills and permits are as important as the equipment.
Common configurations
Reactor types
Chosen for the slurry and climate.
Combined heat and power
Electricity and heat from the gas.
Other gas uses
Boilers or other uses.
