About piglet heat boxes & covers
Newborn piglets need much more warmth than the sow. A cover or box over the creep area holds the heat where piglets lie and keeps them away from the sow. The red units shown are open heat covers; enclosed boxes are another option. We match the form to your heat source, the crate floor and how staff check the litter.
Common configurations
Open heat covers
A hood over the creep area.
Enclosed heat boxes
A box with an entrance for piglets.
Fixed or opening
Lids that lift for checking and cleaning.
