About feed silos & bins
The silo is where the feeding line begins. Its useful volume follows daily feed use and how often trucks deliver; its outlet must match the conveying system; its legs and foundation must carry the full load. Feed type, moisture protection and a way to see the feed level are part of the choice.
Common configurations
Galvanised steel silos
Corrugated steel bins on legs.
Composite silos
Non-metal bins for some feeds and climates.
Outlet options
Boots for auger or chain-disc lines.
