About auger feeding systems

An auger feeding system turns a spiral inside a pipe to move feed from the silo to the feeders. Length, bends and the number of outlets decide which auger and drive suit the run. We lay out the line from the silo to the last trough and check that the system empties fully and can be cleaned.

Common configurations

Flexible augers

Coreless spirals that follow gentle bends.

Rigid augers

For straight, heavy-duty runs.

Outlet types

Drops to troughs, dosers or feeders.

Frequently asked questions

How long can an auger line be?

It depends on the auger type, bends and feed. We check each run when we lay out the line and use a chain-disc system where a long loop is needed.
